The following is not for the faint of heart or anyone who dislikes to read about dirty clothes.
The following was not staged, nor done on purpose.
The following was not exaggerated #forrealisies
Confession numero uno:
This is what I looked like yesterday when nate got home:
(well, after 7 pm when I finally looked in the mirror...just keep reading for the dirty deets)
Hair in a bun. My mane going all cray cray (seriously, how do you tame 3 in long hair that is sticking out everywhere and wont fit in the pony tail besides using 100 bobbypins??)
Ok, but that's not even the point. Look at my shirt and yoga pants. They might look normal to you, but sadly...and NO JOKE, this is the exact same outfit I was wearing the last 3 days when nate got home!! 3 days in a row!!! seriously. how did I do that??
#itsoktohystericallylaughnow #icantbeleiveididthat #whodoesthat
#sidenote
why do i love these clothes?? well, we bought me some yoga pants because i had worn holes in all my other workout pants #legitright? and we wanted to get them as "modest" as possible, so we got the least tight ones, but they happened to be super loose in the belly. and guess who got pregnant, now basically does laundry just so I can keep wearing these yoga pants every day!!
This shirt is a L. Not a M like all my other shirts #nobellyshowinghere! and not an XL like nate's shirts....so its awesome right now!
Anyway....
Here's what happened.
Monday: Got up and got dressed. After Eli's nap I changed into afore mentioned comfy workout clothes and hit the gym. Then i just didnt change since i was making dinner. And yes, I slept in those clothes #ilovecomfy
Tuesday: I also got up and showered and got dressed into normal clothes. Same thing happened and I worked out after eli's nap, and just grabbed the closest and most comfy workout clothes (same afore mentioned comfy clothes!) and then just didnt change while i made dinner. When nate got home, I even commented on how silly it was that I was wearing the same clothes two days in a row when he got home. Yes, I slept in them again #changingisdifficultthesedays
Wednesday: wake up and went to a workout group with girlies in my ward, but I was already wearing awesome workout clothes, so I just wore them #sidenote I don't get super sweaty at my workouts these days #preggopride, so they weren't oober smelly. Don't act like you dont wear pajamas more than once, so its ok for me to wear these more than once...
Anyway, i wore them to the store too (don't you feel legit sometimes wearing workout clothes to the store, kinda like..."hey, i workout, and then buy and consume food. what do you do?")
And then some how, i never looked in the mirror until 7 pm last night and WHAT?!?!?! I AM WEARING THE SAME CLOTHES 3 DAYS IN A ROW WHEN NATE GOT HOME!!!!
seriously. crazy.
the good news is...i showered in between, and got into normal clothes in between too, so its ok, right??
so....nate said he didn't really care because if I want to wear those clothes, let me wear those clothes, and since i get ready sometimes, its fine #sogladhesmine
Confession number two:
Eli is the cutest child in the world...but he is not happy ALL the time
Guess what ?!?!?! He is breaking through 6 teeth right now!! six! six! 6!!!!!
that is a crazy amount of teething
I mean, its nice to have all the crying all at once, but this is crazy!! If you read my posts from about a month ago, i was talking about how we didn't know why eli was so cranky for the whole 2 months of Jan and Feb...well, he calmed down for all of March, then BAM the last few days these bad boys have been poking through, and he's as emotional as I am #whoneedsmoreemotions? #wehaveextrahere
So, my assumption is that the 6 teeth were moving through the bone in Jan and Feb and now they are poking through the gums.
Teething is seriously the funniest thing. One moment they are like this:
next moment...no warning...THIS:
then back to this:
(If you look closely in the pictures you can see the bottom 4 teeth that are coming through and his canines are coming in on the top)
confession number 3:
I am super grateful for my life right now!!
I seriously have had this wave of gratitude sweep over me and it has been my elixir for my down times lately!
Here are some things I am grateful for:
Eli is so amazing. He has been very easy to take care of (or not take care of i could say) while ive been sick or depressed or unable to walk during this pregnancy. He brings so much light into my life! Even though everyone said being sick and pregnant with another kid is so much harder, its actually been easier because he makes me sooo happy!
Nate is so good to me. He lets me wear the same clothes 3 days in a row and doesnt care. He lets me not cook dinner and just eats chips and salsa. He gives me foot massages almost every night (thanks to awesome plantar fasciitis that has developed, but i'm not complaining). He asks what he can do for me every day at our lunch phone call. He takes care of Eli totally once he gets home.
We have a wonderful job!
The Lord has guided me to ways to feel better this pregnancy compared to last:
Last pregnancy : nauseous whole time, depressed, unable to walk without pain from 3 months on, had to eat gluten free, NO money, had a car and apt with no AC in one of the hottest summers in Salt Lake Valley in 20 yrs
This pregnancy: found nausea medicine and sea bands, found doTERRA vitamins for depression, chiropractor and awesome book for hip pain, I was cured from celiac disease last august (post coming soon), we have more money so I dont have to eat rice chex every day, my apt and car (well, now that ive switched nate) now have AC.
And I am grateful that although pregnancy is very very difficult for me, that I am able to have children.
I am grateful that I have found at least one position that I can fall asleep in #yayforstomachsleeping
I have the Book of Mormon (which I absolutely LOVE and inhale basically!!)
and last but not least, Eli sleeps in til 8 am most mornings #hoorayfor10hrseachnight #wellifiactuallysleep #pregnancyisawesome
and chick-fil-a resides a mile down the street and has cinni-minis #mostrecentcraving
But seriously. I am grateful for a lot more things, but these are the things that keep popping up in my mind that help me get through rough patches of my day!
What are your confessions?
Anyone else do crazy things like I do??
here's a funny link that's been going around facebook that I just died reading. I have done many of these!
Enough with confessions...what are you grateful for? How does it help you get through hard days??
