So we are trying this whole, learn to use a spoon thing. Its cute, but is not going so well. He can't pick anything up with his spoon. So, most of the time i get it from the bowl and he grabs the spoon from me and puts it in his mouth. not until recently could he actually successfully get the food into his mouth, but now he can't take the spoon out of his mouth. he either just stops or pulls it out with the food still on it. haha
imagine being a baby for a second. next time you use a spoon grab it with your fist. the angles that have to be used to pick food up, get it to our mouth without food falling off, and then pull up at the right angle to get it to stay in our mouth are pretty intricate.
any suggestions for teaching him how to use a spoon? maybe that doesnt invole lots of messes?

So this is what happens (isnt he a cutie, this is exactly what got us all baby hungry again. and i am crazy baby hungry even while pregnant, i cant wait 3 more months!!! i envy my cousins marlese and diana, they have the cutest little babies!).
anyway, sweeping and mopping happens after every meal almost. well, not real mopping. I dont do that for some reason. i didnt even own a mop until a few weeks ago until i realized that more than half my house was hard wood. and then i didnt use it for weeks. I just spot clean and sweep a lot. There is something about mopping and vacuuming that i despise, so i just dont :)
ok, lets talk about something worse than mopping....shopping. well, not all shopping. I love going to Target. I know, kinda crazy. I have fallen into the mom target craze #momtargetcraze #itdeservesanothershoutout #momtargetcraze. Lets be real, target isnt ideal. It seems more expensive and there are less brand options. I couldnt understand why people went there, i judged everyone who did #sorrytojudge. so i had to find out. So i did what i do best. I researched it. Did you know that women like to go to Target because it is more aesthetically pleasing? the way they place things on the shelf, the lighting, ceiling, flooring, and width of the aisles is very pleasing to the female brain! this causes an endorphin high, and makes women enjoy going there over other stuffy stores like walmart or kroger (which i agree, are cheaper, but are cramped and weirdos go there, at least in my area...unless you are reading this and go there, you are not a weirdo, but you have to agree that while at those stores in this area you have to hold your bag shut and never talk to any creepers, especially when they approach you in the parking lot like ive had a few times)
Wow, im good at tangents today. Ok, so isnt that crazy? Target makes you feel happier, and that is why you will find moms that love it, like my friend MaLyn (whose blog is crazy wonderful btw http://www.malynlogic.com/)
A few months ago, I was in severe depression at the beginning of this pregnancy (more on that in a post later, but i do suffer from APD Ante Pardum Depression). And I needed to get out of the house, and it was cold, so i kept finding myself at target. I was like, this is weird. I hate target, it doesnt have all the options i want, but i keep coming back. so then after i researched it, i now frequent there every few days since its a mile away, and we live in an iceage these days. So I caved and got their red card (which some studies show that it makes target cheaper than walmart now since walmart was only 3.6% cheaper, but with the target red card you get 5% off, so i dont feel bad going there anymore, but it was only one study and i dont know how they compared it, but ill still go feeling all happy inside! :)
Wow, ok. so back to the fact that i hate shopping. I like target. i hate 2 hr shopping trips. you know, those trips where you have to get all of your food for the week, or two weeks or month or however often you shop. It turns into the longest trip, and i buy stuff because it looks good, and my cart is so full, and legs hurt, and eli is fussy, but i still have 4 items left that are in different corners of the store and i have to find an employee, and then i finally get to the car and the weirdo walmart parking lot creepers are checking me out to see if they can hijack me. Then Eli fusses the whole way home, and i open a bag of something i just bought because #whocanwaittilhome? wow, then i have to figure out how to bring everything in (we used to live on the 3rd floor...bleh!!), and then i dont want to put it away, because ive already 1) stared at the item on the shelf to see the healthiest/cheapest option, 2) put it in my cart 3)put it on the belt 4)put it into my car 5)brought it into the house 6)now i have to put it away???? So, that is how shopping days go. I dont like them.
BUT NOT ANYMORE!!!! we have walmart to-go in this area! I can order everything online, and then they bring it out and put it in the car for me FOR FREE! woohoo! so i shop when im in a good mood, and only have to bring it in, and put it away!
So, i recommend it! here's a link if you want to start, we both get $15 for using the link!
here's a link to see if its in your area
so now you know how to be happy. go to target. use walmart to-go. dont mop your floors, and keep reading my blog :)
happy day-before-the-weekend!!!
Wal-Mart to go???? That's insane!! I'm sad you hate grocery shopping, because it's something that will need to get done the rest of your life. Wow that was very Debbie downer of me--sorry :) WalMart to go sounds amazing!! I wanna hear more about your depressed days, Jess :( :( well, I don't want to hear, but I do, because I love you....soooo much! Xoxox Eli is cute :)
